BACKGROUND:
The Live SunSmart Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to enlightening everyone on the importance of early detection and the prevention of skin cancer. The message of the Foundation is clear--we want people to have fun in the sun, but just to do so in a sun smart way. The sun damage you get today--and over time--can have a profound effect on your future health.
Live SunSmart educational programs include:
Team SunSmart(TM) educates school athletic staff and student athletes on
reducing the risks of sun exposure (23% -80% of lifetime UV exposure
occurs before the age of 18)

Pro SunSmart(TM) trains relevant practitioners (e.g. salon professionals,
massage therapists, physical trainers, etc.) to identify potential skin
cancers and advise clients to seek medical care

Ski SunSmart(TM) educates winter sports enthusiasts of cold weather sun
exposure and how to best protect against those risks

Look SunSmart (TM) raises awareness of the damage to the eye caused by UV
ray exposure and promotes the use of the right type of sunglasses to
  protect against excessive UV exposure.

Work SunSmart(c)(TM) educates those whose work-related activities take
place outdoors -- from professional athletes to construction workers,
from police officers to landscapers encouraging them to wear sunscreen
  and get screened regularly.
